Recomendamos tomarlo antes 2017.

Flaherty 2009 was made by friends and family at our home near the village of Santa María in the Aconcagua Valley. The Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon were hand harvested and delivered in small picking lugs from the 11th through 28th of April from the windy riverside Manzur vineyard just outside of San Felipe, beside the Putaendo River in the Aconcagua Valley. The Manzur vineyard, which was planted in 2000, has alluvial sandy loam soils with lots of river stones. The Tempranillo is the third vintage from the vineyard at our home near Santa María, a warmer section of the Aconcagua Valley with well-draining loam soils; it was harvested on the 11th of April. All the grapes were hand harvested and delivered to the winery in small picking lugs, We punched down the musts by hand three times a day throughout the fermentation. The wine macerated with the skins for an average of 18 days before being drained and basket pressed. It then aged 19 months in oak barrels, with 15% in new American and Romanian oak and the rest in two- and three-year-old French and American oak barrels. The 2009 Flaherty blend is 56% Syrah, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 11% Tempranillo. The wine was filtered but not fined before being bottled in February 2011.

Tasting Description
Our 2007 Flaherty displays the classic fruit flavors of the Aconcagua Valley, with a rich base of dried fruits like cherry, strawberry, black plum, and dried peach (called huesillos en Chile). Notes of black pepper, spearmint, licorice, dark chocolate, toasted oak, forest floor, and new leather contribute complexity and depth. This medium-bodied wine has a twist of acidity on the entry and finish, while the sweet tannins contribute to an easy-to-drink style. Best before 2015.

Enjoy as we do with friends, family, and food.

Flaherty 2006 was made by friends and family at our home near the village of Santa María in the Aconcagua Valley. The Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon were hand harvested and delivered in small picking lugs on 26 March and 11 April from the windy riverside Manzur Vineyard just outside of San Felipe in the Aconcagua Valley. The vineyard, which was planted in 2000, has alluvial sandy loam soils with lots of river stones. The grapes were crushed directly into one ton fermenting bins. We punched down the musts by hand three times a day throughout fermentation. After macerating on the skins for 20 days, the wine was basket pressed and aged 18 months in barrel. The components were aged in 18% new Hungarian and Romanian oak, 27% second-use French and American oak, and 55% third-use French and American oak. The 2006 Flaherty blend is 64% Syrah and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was filtered but not fined before being bottled by our friends at Viña San Esteban.

Tasting Description
Our 2006 Flaherty has a higher percentage of Syrah in the blend, which comes through in the blueberry and raspberry fruit characters and floral accents. Notes of allspice, vanilla, and toasted oak round out the flavor profile. This medium-bodied wine has soft tannins and is made in an easy-to-drink style. Best before 2012.

Enjoy as we do with friends, family, and food.
